🕒 10-Minute Journaling Exercise

 

"Where Am I Right Now?"

📖 This exercise is your space. No filters. No pressure. Just honesty, curiosity, and a little bit of courage.

🔔 Before You Begin:

Find a quiet place. Grab a notebook, pen, or open a blank digital page. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Take a deep breath. This is just for you.

🧠 Step 1: Ground Yourself (1 Minute)

Close your eyes.
Take 3 slow, deep breaths.
Whisper to yourself:

“I am safe. I am honest. I am allowed to feel.”
 

✍️ Step 2: Reflect & Write (7–8 Minutes)

Write freely and without judgment as you answer the following questions. You don’t have to write “perfectly”—just truthfully.

  1. Where am I emotionally right now?
    (What emotions am I feeling most today?)
     
  2. What feels heavy in my life right now?
    (What’s been weighing on me that I haven’t had space to release?)
     
  3. What do I need more of today—support, rest, courage, love?
     
  4. If I could let go of just ONE thing right now, what would it be?
    (A thought, a habit, a regret, a person, a fear…)
     

🌿 Step 3: Release & Affirm (1–2 Minutes)

Write the sentence below and fill in the blank:

“Today, I choose to let go of _______________, and I give myself permission to grow.”
 

Then write this down three times:

“I am exactly where I need to be to become who I’m meant to be.”
 

💛 Optional: End with a small act of care.

Stretch. Light a candle. Drink some water. Go for a short walk.
This is how we take small steps toward putting the pieces back together.
